On the Streets of Danville, CA
As seen in recent postings, the work boot has inspired an upcoming Spring fashion trend. While cruising the Farmer's Market I spotted a gentleman wearing classic work boots, wool flannel shirt, and Pendleton cap to keep his head warm and dry. Doubtful that he follows the Satorialist; but if he did, I would say he was right on trend.

Dress Code
We have seen the work boot coming back with a refreshed urban street vibe. Its all about the lace up shoes and boots. I've taken notice a throwback to old Hollywood and classics like oxford saddle shoes. Urban Outfitters has updated their style of saddle shoes from my days of Carden Hall and private school uniforms. Despite Spring around the corner, its not quite time to put away your boots!

Gifts of the Season
What was the best gift this year? In this crazy weather I would have to say Hunter's rain boots are well envied and appreciated! These will go perfectly with Krochet Kid's handmade hats which can be adorned with customized clips, pins or accessories.

Patiently Waiting for Fall
Words I never thought would come out of my mouth since I LIVE for Summer and warm weather. However, my recent purchase of Cole Haan boots and toothpick wale stretch cords have me signing a different tune. Every morning I keep waiting for it to be cold enough on a day I am running late and can just pull on my boots, a tee shirt and run out the door. Right now I'm super into loose comfortable tees and side braids; perhaps I'm just channeling my inner equestrian self. I found this Avon vintage gold leaf on Etsy that I just fell in love with!
