Photofun!

Congratulations to my friend Timree on her brand new studio opening in Newport Beach! Timree does amazing still life and portrait paintings, custom art, dishes, ornaments, (you name it) and has an arsenal of celebrity cliental.

I haven't seen some of her family since I was 7 years old. It was a great time to catch up and celebrate dreams coming true!

Here I had some fun with a some minor photo retouching. Can you tell spot the differences in the photos below?

A Little Cheetah

Not a GAP ad, but I couldn't help doing a little play on this little gap toothed beauty Lindsey Wixon, (a look made popular by Madonna and Vogue cover models like Lara Stone). Maybe she could do a campaign for them! The GAP wanting to revamp their logo into a more modern look realized what a mistake they had made by trying to change without truly understanding the current market and their customer's loyalty to who the GAP customer is.

It is amazing, but not too shocking that avid GAP fans did not like the change to a more modern logo. Banana Republic was able to cross over, but why not GAP? I think because the GAP customer wants consistency of the basics, comfortable, affordable and middle of the road on trend ready to wear. So I guess if you have a gapped tooth grin, maybe a cleft inyour chin or specialize in basic casual wear, stick to who you are and what you know. Lesson learned, GAP is keeping its original and iconic blue square.

Pale and Red for Winter

Proves to be great for photos- love the red POP against the pale skin canvas. However, you will not see me rocking this though I love it due to the year round tan I've been so blessed with!

FLATS, FLATS, FLATS!

Tis the season to put start putting away 101 pairs of flip flops and start finding your flats. I LOVE J.Crew ballerina flats year round but especially for fall. Stylish, comfortable, and amazing quality.

A Salut to Facial Hair

Indeed, if I were a man, I would grow the most amazing mustache this month in honor of Movember and to top it off I would rock TOMS special editions.

Patiently Waiting for Fall

Words I never thought would come out of my mouth since I LIVE for Summer and warm weather. However, my recent purchase of Cole Haan boots and toothpick wale stretch cords have me signing a different tune. Every morning I keep waiting for it to be cold enough on a day I am running late and can just pull on my boots, a tee shirt and run out the door. Right now I'm super into loose comfortable tees and side braids; perhaps I'm just channeling my inner equestrian self. I found this Avon vintage gold leaf on Etsy that I just fell in love with!

I spent what seemed an unnecessary amount of time fidgeting with the shape of this headband until I arrived at the below. I am happy enough to go to bed. Tomorrow I tackle more accessories and 12 more styles. Wish me luck!

California Coastal

CC is not just a style, but truly a lifestyle. Inspired by my friend LoLo and her shared stories of her parent's coastal decorated home and weekend duffy jaunts in the harbor here I am channeling sunshine and sea breeze. OK fine actually I was more so being lazy and wanted something easy to throw on, run errands and could easily slip in and out of at the beach sice I was going surfing later.
